Kenawa island is a small exotic island on the West Sumbawa Regency, its only 20 minutes cross by boat from public ferry harbor at Poto tano harbor, the main land of Sumbawa. You can drive in a small boat with a glass bottom from Sumbawa Barat (Poto Tano) to Kenawa. The journey with the small boat only takes 15 minutes. Kenawa island is really close to Poto Tano port, the port of Sumbawa Barat. Kenawa island is a part of Gili Balu’ district in Poto Tano Village – Sumbawa Barat, Indonesia. Besides Kenawa Island, there are seven other islands close to Poto Tano. Those islands are: Kalong, Nano, Mandiki, Paserang, Kambing, Belang and Ular.



This is simply unhabited island without any population in it, the sea water just so clean and blue, colorful corals and variety of fishes, white and bright sandy beach. One of the beach corner has mangrove trees make it best view for photograph. Green savanna on the whole of the island with many of single Berugak (Gazebo) set up along the beach is perfect place for relaxing, you even cans see very close of the public ferry between Lombok - Sumbawa pass by every one hour. You can do many activities like, snorkeling spot on the island just very near from the beach line, between 7 - 14 meters.
