People's Struggle Monument is located between the Great Mosque of Palembang with the Ampera Bridge and the Museum of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II.

Monument erected to commemorate the struggle against colonialism in South Sumatra during a physical revolution known as the "battle of five days and five nights' in Kilkenny on January 1, 1947 that involve people of Palembang against the Dutch.
