    Kasih Beach, Sabang - Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam - Indonesia

    Kasih Beach (the Lovers Beach) is a beach on the Pulau Weh (Weh Island) just 2 kilometers away from Sabang town centre. Kasih Beach is a rocky beach having a lot of coconut trees along it shores. Here you can have sit and relax and watch the wide ocean with its beautiful sunset and the passing traffic of cargo ships or fisherman boats. The cool sea breeze combined with beautiful trees and white sand make this beach a very suitable place for those who want to relax.

    The beach is located near the village and that is why Kasih Beach is usually crowded in the afternoon. The local people often just take a walk on the beach in the afternoon.

    At this beach are several fortified structures with heavy artillery such as cannons as a remainder of World War II. If you are tired of relaxing and explorer then you can enjoy the local delicacies.

    Getting to Pantai Kasih

    As Kasih Beach is located on Weh Island the only way to reach it is by boat. From Banda Aceh you need to go to the port of Ulee Lheu and take a boat to Balohan on Pulau Weh. There are 2 kinds of transport possibilites:

    Express motorboat, which takes more or less 45 - 60 minutes trip costing around Rp 50.000 - Rp 90.000. There are two different express motorboats. The Pulau Rondo boat is serving routes of Ulee - Balohan (09.30) and Balohan - Ulee Lheu (16.00) whereas the Kapal Bahari boat is serving routes of Ulee Lhue - Balohan (16.00) and Balohan - Ulee (08.00).

    Ferry boat: besides carrying passengers this boat can also carry vehicles from Rp 20.000 - Rp 30.000 per passenger and for vehicles ranging from Rp 9.000 - Rp 155.000 depending on the weight and size of your vehicle. If you go by this boat it will take longer time of about 1 - 2 hours. The time table of the Roro/Ferry is: Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday serving routes of Ulee Lhue - Balohan at 10.30 and 15.30 whereas for Balohan - Ulee at 07.45 and 13.00. From Monday - Friday serving Ulee Lhue -Balohan at 13.00 and Balohan - Ulee at 07.45
