Gili Lontar, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, is one of the leading marine tourist destinations in Indonesia. This is supported by the geographical conditions, potential resources and natural beauty also unique cultural diversity. West Lombok Regency has 23 small islands and majority is a lowland island with beautiful white sandy beaches. Gili Lontar are in a cluster of small islands that administratively included in West Sekotong Village, Sekotong District, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Gili Lontar is a coral island surrounded by white sand beaches with an area of 3.07 hectares. Gili Lontar and West Lombok are tropical climate with rainfall uneven where the center of the region are generally higher rainfall than in the northern and southern regions.
Gili Lontar is an uninhabited island and lies on Gili Sekotong Coastal. See from the air, Gili Lontar shaped oval and it looks like a donut or like a big plate with vegetables with white sand beaches and waters pink. But unfortunately, in Gili Lontar is no infrastructure such as docks and permanent access roads or footpaths.
Ecosystem condition of Gili Lontar overgrown vegetation is quite dense and thick dominated by trees resede (kleresede), while in the middle of the island there is an open space that is filled with weeds and lush green grass. Gili Lontar has panoramic beauty of the underwater world and the mainland. The waters around Gili Lontar are clean and clear with reddish white sandy beaches and charming soft is suitable for various leisure activities. On this island, tourists can swim, sun bathing, snorkeling, diving, watersports, Jetsky, banana boat, paragliding, fishing, and so on.
