Pindu Hurani Beach in East Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province

In East Sumba Regency of East Nusa Tenggara Province, tourists may find many beautiful beaches and one of them is called Pindu Hurani. As the name suggests, this one resides in Pindu Hurani Village and belongs to Tabundung Sub-District of Indonesia. One thing that makes it interesting is none other than the serenity. That means tourists might be able to spend a good time for several activities like relaxation and family recreation. Some people even take advantage of the beach to enjoy surfing and water sports! Thanks to the big waves.

The Nuance
Now, let’s describe Pindu Hurani both in terms of nuance and beauty. The first characteristic that tourists need to know is the sand of the coast. Unlike most of the beaches in NTT Province, this one features light brown sand. Still, it comes with soft texture too! Next, it is about the sea. As mentioned before, the beach has big waves (which is suitable for surfing). Even the wind feels so strong there. The next recognizable feature is the presence of two big coral reefs having the shape which is similar to sails! Somehow, they become a great background for photography.

Exploring Pindu Hurani Beach
So, what can people do in Pindu Hurani Beach? It is as simple as exploring the site or beach walking. The soft-textured light brown sand won’t hurt tourists’ feet at all, so it is recommended to go barefoot when doing so. During the activity, the breezy wind may soothe everyone as well. At noon, though, it feels warmer and a little bit hotter than usual so tourists should wear a cap or apply sun cream to their skin. In order to avoid discomfort, it is recommended to come either in the morning or afternoon when the weather is nicer.

Beach walking is one thing, but surfing is considered more challenging for tourists to enjoy this Indonesia’s beach. The thing is that the waves are quite strong and big, so beginners should think twice to do so. Another consideration is that tourists should carry their own surfing board. It is because they won’t find any facilities providing surfing boards for them to rent. What is more? Surfers should come at the right time, especially during the biggest waves!

Pindu Hurani Beach is also known for its unique coral reefs, having a similar shape to sails. Not only these objects have an interesting shape, but their size is indeed enormous. No wonder, most tourists would take pictures of them while visiting the beach. Thus, do not forget to carry a camera.
