Nganjuk is regency in East Java that has direct border with Bojonegoro in north, Jombang in east, Kediri and Ponorogo in south and Madiun in west. Geographically, Nganjuk is lowland Mountainous and it has productive land that good for food plantation and agriculture plantation.
Looking at the landscape of the area, Nganjuk has several destinations in case of natural sightseeing.
Sedudo WaterfallSedudo Waterfall is located at Ngliman, Sawahan district, it is 30 km from Nganjuk Regency. The air is fresh and cool. This location is oftenly visited by many of people especially during Suro month, one of months of the Javanese year. Sedudo waterfall is an impressive waterfall of more than 100 meters high. The district government and the public around, always held a traditional ceremony every Suro in this place.
Roro Kuning WaterfallRoro Kuning Waterfall is located about 27-30 km south of Nganjuk city, at an altitude of 600 m above sea level and it has a height of 10-15 m. This waterfall flows from three sources around Mount Wilis and flowing creeping in between the rocks padas under the pine forest trees. Besides the natural beauty, Roro Kuning is also has historical value. In the vicinity of this location there is a monument to the struggle of General Sudirman. The monument was built to commemorate the struggle of General Sudirman when he led a guerrilla war against the Dutch in 1949.
Ngetos TempleNgetos Temple is a Hindu temple since kingdom of Majapahit that located in Ngetos Village, district Ngetos, 17 Km south from Nganjuk city. It is estimated, based on its shape, this temple is made during the XV century is the era of the Majapahit kingdom. Candi Ngetos was created as a burial place for king Hayam Wuruk of Majapahit. The building is physically damaged, and even some parts are missing, so it was difficult to find the original form, this is because the main building of the temple Ngetos made of red sandstone, which is not too strong to hold time.
Margo Tresno CaveThe cave which has panoramic mountain in its natural surroundings is situated in the village Sugihwaras, ngluyu sub-district, Nganjuk. Along 650 meters before the entrance door of the cave there is a pond where the water is so clear. The spacious cave is approximately 15 x 50 meters and is associated with Lemah Jeblong cave. Also, around the cave there is other cave named cave Gondhel, Bale cave, cave Pawon, Omah cave, and cave Landak.
Anjuk Ladang MuseumAnjuk Ladang Museum is Located in the east site of Nganjuk City Bus Terminal, in which stores objects and cultural heritage during Hindu era, Doho and Majapahit that contained in Nganjuk. The museum is divided into several parts of the building. The front of joglo shaped is the place to store Anjuk Ladang inscription, while the main building is being used as storage jars, bowls, puppets, bells, masks and so on.
